I was just listening to one of the radio plays (the one where Jack is in a coma) and GDL has this amazing speech where Ianto talks to Jack and it is heartbreaking and I just started crying again.
Ianto! I can't believe they did this. How do they expect people to keep watching when they kill everyone off like this?
Oh, that was so heartbreaking. Augh, why does TV do this to us?
And I know, surely they can't just leave us with Jack and Gwen? (even though she has kicked more arse this week than I would have thought possible) What about all the relationship building they've been doing? Is that for nothing?
I need to know, and yet... I don't want tomorrow's ep to finish with Ianto still dead. D:
.... THIS! OKAY, THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN FOR REALS FFS.
This is also why you need to get employed by BBC and start writing some tv shows that won't treat good characters like shit and/or trample all over my heart. In five years time I want to check RadioTimes, see your name in the credits and open the telly in the safe knowledge that I'm getting some quality writing that won't break me to million and one piece. IS THAT UNDERSTOOD SOLDIER?
This sounds like a good, ultimately angst-free plan. To be honest, I'll take pretty much anything that equals alive!Ianto.
Time-travel, virius-doesn't-really-mean-death-just-death-like, 456 'superior' technology, an exchange of some kind, 'Sexually Transmitted Bad Wolf Sparkles' Theory, Ianto clone, Ianto is a Time Lord, it's not really Ianto...
HE ONLY HAD IT ON LOAN FROM JOSS WHEDON AND WHEDON TOOK IT BACK! >:(
Rhiannon will be devastated. I don't want to see her reaction and yet I do. HIS NEPHEW AND NIECE NEVER GOT TO GO TO THE CINEMA WITH HIM, EVEN IF THAT WAS ONLY A PLOY TO TRY GET SOME KIDS TO TEST!
Yay! We should all chant "IANTO!" together at 9pm tomorrow, that might even work! :D
She was, wasn't she? I was actually shivering for that boardroom scene. So scarily believable, that people can just sit down and decide who's going to die and who's going to live...
Absolutely--I can place her in RL, she was that scary. I was waiting for the orphans and scoial services suggestions, but to get right to the bottom 10 % was...well, as you say, chilling.
Even if they don't manage to some how BRING HIM BACK (which they should really do...) I will probably stick with it. This series has been a complete about-face for Torchwood, awesome plotting and characters, and I need to know if they can carry that to a full series. Then I will decided, heh.

Did you notice one of Jack's tears fell into Ianto's mouth? THE MAGIC POWER OF JACK'S TEARS WILL BRING IANTO BACK. IT WILL.
It has to.

I can't believe they'd leave it like this. Really, I am authorising the use of any and all reset buttons to make this right.

Also, the League Table woman was utterly chilling, and the reason she was so chilling was that she was utterly believable as a character.
