Patrick Swayze vs. Norman Borlaug

I'm sad to hear of the passing of two people who meant a lot to many. Last week, Norman Borlaug died at the age of 91. Last night, Patrick Swayze died at the age of 57.

I heard about the passing of Borlaug on various blogs I frequent, but no where else. I heard about the passing of Swayze first thing this morning, and it's already been on the Today

Borlaug is was a cool guy. We could use more people who are dedicated to something they way he was. What he did was so great and its effects have been so long lasting that I think people forget that the world populations continued growth will eventually reach the point that we need others who can bring about innovations in agriculture on the scale he did just to keep feeding everyone.
