you just made my night. i loved this. i'm siting here with a fan blowing behind me, even though the AC is running too, because it is too damned hot to fall asleep. and suddenly, this popped up on the screen just as i was about to close things down.

so now, i'm sitting here with a wistful little smile because i have a sweet memory or two of other achingly hot summer nights long ago that were prompted by your lovely tale. even when a relationship or a marriage goes bad, there are still some fond moments one can recall that can make all of the hurtful or indifferent parts go away for a bit. and you think, ah we did those things once. it wasn't all bad or pointless afterall.

wow. reading your comment was almost as touching as reading the story itself.

pushing away bad thoughts and feelings to savor the memories of good times we had with someone - i miss that in everyday life. there are few people who are able to do that, to look beyond the hait and hurt one might have taken from a realtionship gone wrong and still cherish the wonderful moments. it is so easy to hate, but allowing the beautiful times to resurface too can lift so much weight off a soul.

having that spoken out loud makes me feel good for some reason ^^ i should think like that more often too. so thank you for that. i'm sure that if more people did remember these things, this world would be a much more gentle and beautiful place.

time is the biggest friend in my ability to overcome and gain some measure of perspective. i was married 17 years. most of them pretty good with a few very rocky patches. i've been divorced for 20 years as of May. 0.0 see? lots of time to shut away stuff and lose the key. it helps to be somewhat dissociative by nature. This was a really refreshing read. It's been far too long since I actually sat down and read a nice, het fic like this. xD And I love how Hyde is portrayed here. He seems like a typical dad, but at the same time, the best papa Hiroki can have~

And Megumi is lovely. :'D And this line, Just a whisper of a smile actually; a tiny curve of the corners of her lips that made Hyde think if people were willing to start a war over Helena of Troy, he was most certainly willing to single-handedly unite the world in peace over Oishi Megumi. is ♥.

Thank you so much for your review. I think as far as Hydefic goes, Meguhai is actually my OTP. It's so much fun to write about them, and I'm glad people find my portrayal of Hyde as a character fitting.

I love how his mindset changes from noticing and being picky about the minor details due to being so tired to finding beauty in them because of the pleasure of having the company of his son and then feeling love from his wife.

you're the only author i've known so far who can blend humor, smut and fluff so perfectly, and even mix in a touch of deeper thought and poetry to give such playful banter a meaning far beyond everyday thinking.

the first paragraph is wonderful - as is the very last - they underline the change in mood perfectly. the first lines all short and curtly descriptive, imitating the way the mind staggers in a state of overwhelming heat and exhaustion. the last one melting it into a surreal and poetical reflection of love and life. beautiful *___*

you know, my fav part though is actually the under-water scene. i can totally see hydes mind and perception working like that or would love to believe it does. an artist, such as you are :3

My my my, that is ONE hell of a review xD I keep coming back to reread it constantly. *glomps* I just keep being amazed at how you pick out all these tiny little things that I didn't even aim for xD Your reviews more often than not make me go back to reread my fic and then go "oh... she's right. how did that happen?" xD

I have such an obsession with tying the end to the beginning in some shape or form. I like going full circle whenever it's appropriate.
