the children didn't mind draping themselves all over him at night whenever he happened not to leave the bed in time
i can SO see that happening <3333 *drapes herself over kei too* *proceeds to kick the kiddos outta bed* although i thoroughly doubt that shinji would do this. but lets not break the flow and fluff here ;)

He had developed strong instincts to protect Kei, a fact which the vampire found both touching an amusing.

this makes me feel so warm and nice and contended just like shortly before going to bed. i want to cuddle with the little rascals too the way you describe it and i can totally understand kei for savoring every bit of it. maybe it gets me even more seeing as i've had a rather short, rather fitfull sleep despite being tired to death =.=
*seizes kei again and cuddles up*

I've been considering Shinji in that regard for a while and wondered whether to leave him out or include him. I will actually do an MCC piece about him and Kei that explains why I included him here. I can see him as being reluctant and verbally opposed, but when drowsy/asleep he'd still seek the comfort of a parent-figure and hate both himself and Kei even more for that.

Can't you just see that happening? child!Sho being all protective over Kei and Kei is just plain (!!!) amused by that xD

THat's okay. You take Kei for cuddling. I'll borrow Hyde for the time being.

hm, if you look at it this way, it actually makes sense, yeah ^^ shinji appears to be such a weak person compared to sho. weak to his own anger and jealousy, and way too weak to just accept kei as a parent figure and shos mentor, whereas he himself could draw so many benefits from this connection too. stupid boy.

its the way a childs mind works xD so cute...

I think I never commented before, but I like your MOON CHILD CHRONICLES a LOT and I just wanted to let you know that. :D

What I like most about your ffs is that you manage to keep everyone perfectly IN-character and that your stories tie in just as perfect with the story of the movie. It's really awesome.

It's also really cool that you're writing about a time span that isn't elaborated in the movie much. Most of it is just left to our imagination and I have to say I like your ideas about it a lot.

I'm looking forward to reading more of MCC in the future. :)

Thank you so much for the praise. The time in which Sho was still a child and Kei was taking care of him really intrigues me, so I love writing about it. I'm happy that you find joy in my little snippets and imaginings about their life in the time the movie skipped :)
