Ramen o'clock

[Sai is stood outside the school entrance, waiting for Gaara. After their little chat earlier in the day, they realized they had a lot in common. Sai is glad to have someone like him to spend time with,  in Gaara's company he can truly relax, not worried about whatever social screw-up he usually makes

[This was not turning out to be Gaara's day. He looks like crap and Sasuke had stolen his shirt. He knew Temari wouldn't wondering around like a complete bloody half sexed up wreck, he'd slumped off to the showers (which was mercifully empty), staying there till he stopped spitting up blood, then went to find another shirt. So now he was shuffling off to find Sai in a shirt that was a size two big for him and the buttons were all gone, so it just hung open. Only now the hickeys and scratch marks were more obvious, as was the blossoming bruising on his cheek bone and the black eye forming. The consolation was that he didn't give a fuck, and Sasuke who'd marked up so beautifully, would. Then there was that whole thing with Iruka. Which he just wasn't even going to think about yet

Ah! Hello Gaara.

[He takes a moment to look over him. He is wearing different clothes to the ones that he had on earlier, and seems to be sporting a rather impressive bruise on his cheek. He knows only too well how that feels, he gets them often around here]

...You look as if you got into a fight with someone again. Was it Sasuke? He has a thing for punching cheeks..

... Yeah, it was Sasuke. [he touches his hand to the bruise, where it is swelling up, just like all the others are, then he grins as he thinks about it more. It felt so exhilarating to drag Sasuke to his level.]

He doesn't look much better though. [Absently he tugs the shirt, trying to close it over his chest.]

I can imagine. He loves to start fights yet never seems to be able to finish them..

Do you need some ice for your bruises? Or should we just go?

[but now he is curious as to what happened with his shirt] What did happen to your shirt, by the way?

[Naruto was just on his way home when he spots - oh, Sai. He's been sort of meaning to talk to him since the Second Painting Incident because he's come to realize he didn't actually...mean to do anything wrong. So maybe he shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions, and um...

Well, he's done a bit of thinking since he calmed down, and is feeling kind of bad. So when he sees Sai standing outside the entrance he walks over and gives him a wave.]

...Hey, Sai!

[Sai turns around, hearing his name being called]

Oh, Naruto. Hello. [he looks a little wary.. perhaps Naruto is still angry over the painting incident and is here to punch him? That is the usual reaction people have to him]

Wha'cha doing?

I am waiting for Gaara. We were going to go eat some ramen at the place I always here you talking about.

What are you doing, Naruto? Are you still upset over that picture?

[yuzudaki]

[Naruto's waiting for them at the restaurant, alternately thumbing through the menu and reading messages on his phone. Maaan, it all looks so good *o*]

[Arrives with Gaara]

Ah, Naruto. You are here already

Ah, yeah! Guess I beat you guys after all! [laughs]

[smiles] You eat here a lot, right Naruto? What is the best dish to order? [sits next to him]
