Zeus strolled into Cheryl's yard about 14 months ago.The average person might have reasonably run inside and called the police department, since Pendleton, IN does not have an animal control. I did cry. But this is why I'm work in a clinic now, so I can be part of stories like this. It's happier, when we only think about the story as far along as a positive outcome, but really we outlive all our patients eventually. And when it's time, a gentle death surrounded by love is a gift, too.

It is a gift, and in reality, as hard as it was to be there, I requested that it be scheduled when I would be working. And I'm also really glad she brought him back to us, where he was loved so very much. I think that was the best thing for both him, and for his momma.
