Annual trimming of the friends-list

Oct 11, 2005 18:22

I have trimmed down my friends list. This doesn't mean that the people I've removed are no longer people that I'm fond of, it does however mean that I can't keep up with everything that's going on on my list when there are so many people on it. I have cut back to not-quite-bare-bones, but a readable quantity. And I think I've left on most ( Read more... )

you can do that with "Friends Filters" I have a lot of communities in my friends list, but I just filter them out and only have a list of those that I actually read. So instead of going to "www.livejournal.com/users/gloomcookie613/friends" I go to a different end extention (the name of the custom group of friends I created). I was overwhelmed for awhile too, until I realized I could do that. I just bookmarked the custom list address and use that to check my journal. Makes life MUCH simpler! :)

Anyway, how's inkie-dinky? I never get to talk to you anymore :(

I don't have a lot of need to keep people on who I don't read. I figure that I can look them up when I have the time. I'm busy busy, nine weeks of school stuff till I grad again :)

I find that a bit of a nuissance myself... lj is definitely a set system, though it would be nice to see if they could futurely allow different setups - I'd like to see more then just a filter... keys and classes - rather than just classes.

though I have ended up just dealing with the larger influx of meme happy go lucky posters - sometimes I'll recieve from a single poster 10 or more large meme's throughout the day and then another week the same poster will put all 10 meme's behind an lj cut... (shrugs)

Apparently, There is a way to do that. I have never bothered setting up read filters, though I should.
