Teen Wolf Season 2 Finale

OH MY GOLLY, people, I am so delighted with this episode. So delighted that I'm currently in the process of rewatching it with
phineasjones on gchat because who needs sleep and so delightful to be able to watch it with her. Ok, so as I said to Phin in chat tonight, these are the important conditions a Teen Wolf episoode must meet:
WAS THERE STILES
DID HE TALK WITH HIS DAD
WAS STILES ALIVE AT THE END
DOES DEREK HALE HAVE A FACE
If all the answers to these are yes, then I'm delighted.
But tonight was extra special because EVERYBODY LIVES! I completely did not expect that. At all. I believed it pretty much every time someone got stabbed that that was it for them. Derek - stabbed by Jackson? Not dead. Isaac - stabbed a LOT by Allison? Totes fine. Jackson - stabbed by two alphas? Fine. \o/ Gerard - stabbed by magic? Apparently fine? Meh, that's ok, I guess.
Jackson has a heart, and it belongs to Lydia! The ending with the shmoopy bff adorableness that is Scott and Stiles, I love them so much. SO MUCH. I may need to rewatch that scene about 50 more times, because that scene is like a slice of Friendship Is Magic. Scott knows his scent/stench! Also, a pack of alphas! WHAT. And did we just have our first Bechdel race test pass? Sigh that it's the first one, but still, maybe yay? If Dr. Deaton and Ms. Morrell are a part of this bigger world-building we're apparently going to get in Season 3, that could be great. Also, yay Chris Argent, we like your code and moral compass! Please to be helping your daughter on her redemption arc next season. Lydia, you can help too. With kisses. Even though the two of you did not interact at all this episode. I do not care.
Actually, re: Lydia. I totally bought the Jackson/Lydia for the first time - we finally got to see their shmoopy love for each other. And what I love about this being so believable is that it really frees Stiles up for... WHATEVER MAY COME, OK, I HAVE SUCH A GIANT TINHAT OK? I JUST. DEREK IS SINGLE, STILES IS SINGLE, CAN IT REALLY HAPPEN? IDDDDDDDDDDDDK.
Oh and! For all the we may have complained in Season 1 that it was about Scott and wasn't the Derek and Stiles show, this show really has now become an ensemble show... as evidenced by SO MUCH STILES THIS EPISODE <3333333333333. And Papa Stilinski! <3___<3 Ugh, every scene with the two of them in it makes me cryyyyyyy.
I literally cannot wait until the ep where Stiles finally tells his dad about all of this stuff. There will be so much cry.
OMG HOW DID I FORGET TO MENTION MELISSA MCCALL? What a bamf. When she was checking out the Jackson jelly, I was like "noooo don't touch it!!!" and she was all, "don't worry, I got this, I'm a professional, I touch weird things with a stick and don't get paralyzed, I'm going to figure this shit out." And lolll "zip, zip, Mom, ZIP!" Even baby werewolves need the grownups to do the gross stuff.
And I'm surprisingly fine with Peter being there apparently as comic relief? The laptop & Derek and Peter's combined Xander-and-Willow-esque reactions to research times were adorable. I like that also we have near canonical wingfic possibilities at this point. JACKSON BB YOU ALMOST HAD WINGS. FANDOM, YOU'RE ON ALERT. Make it so.
Ok, we're at the point in my rewatch with Phin where Gerard is now "dead," and Phin is all thinking that basically the episode's over. And I am holding back and not telling her but JUST YOU WAIT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE SHIT ABOUT TO GO DOWN BABY. I am so \o/ for her. We still have Stiles and Lydia coming in the jeep, and Jackson, and the Scott/Allison breakup scene! and all the tiny scenes at the end that are fun and brilliant teasers for S3. SO MUCH GOODNESS TO COME in these last 10 minutes. Also, Derek continues to have a face and Stiles is still alive. Ergo = delight.
Ok, now on to Teen Wolf Revelations with this delightful cast.
Teen Wolf Revelations
I'm watching Teen Wolf Revelations right now, and ugh, I <3 Holland so much. She wants to do some fighting! She wants to meet with the stunt coordinator! Also, why can't they put Dylan and Tyler H. on the same couch?
Dylan re: Stiles' take on Jackson and Lydia's relationship: "I'm just kind of the guy who wants to be in there." Oh Dylan, that's a nice threesome.
Lol, Tyler H. just characterized the scene in which Derek turns Erica as "completely out of character," and then hedged it with something like how we hadn't seen that side of Derek before. No, yup, that scene was the definition of OOC, yes.
Lol, Tyler P. just called Derek a "butthole." Then clarified that Tyler H. is awesome.
Omg, Holland just pointed out that now Lydia knows all this supernatural stuff exists. I forgot! \o/ AWESOME. Now she can be a full member of the Scooby gang!
Dylan getting asked if he'll ever "kiss a girl," and deflecting. Tyler P. jumps in to rescue him, saying about Dylan: "You should wait to see the deleted scenes for Season 2, because we have TONS of making out scenes."
Awww! They just got asked the question if you had to pick one cast member to be stranded on a desert island with, who would it be? And Tyler H. was all, "What?! Can't do that. We're all a family. We live together, we die together." ... And later: Omg they're all going to hang out at Hoechlin's beach house.
I <3 this show so much and this cast.
