My older sister just got married to her fiance. Actually, I should say: I just found out that my sister got married to her fiance in April. I am not estranged from my sister (make that was not - she's certainly estranging me now

I don't know. Having put my own family through a few fiascos, I have to say that sometimes you just have to go with what seems like a clever idea at a time. Fortune cookie wisdom say: Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment.

Feel free to bop her on the head, but try to also realize that her intent was probably not to piss everyone off.

I'm sorry to hear about that . . . it does make certain things make more sense in retrospect, but still, it sucks. I know how close the two of you are and I can only imagine how it must feel to have had this happen. If you ever want to blow off some steam, you got my number.
