It's funny to be writing about these photos I took yesterday, while it drizzles outside, and the wind is picking up. Weather Channel is threatening us with all manner of alerts from high wind, to low snow to measurable wetness. There was even more color out there this morning, some new purples and more of that spring green. The wind was just short of icy, and just strong enough to nudge me along as we strolled the garden, my dog and I. I was buzzed by a hummingbird as I came back toward the house - ours appear to be fearless.

As the dog was checking out each corner, she sniffed into a stand of rosemary, and out strolled a mama quail, so we may have a covey right in our garden.

My photos didn't show off the beautiful mid-violet blossoms on the rosemary, but there's a large thatch of it developing on the hill across the road, as well. It's everywhere here.

Isn't that a pretty scarf? My friend asked for something to replicate one lent her during her trip to the East, but in colors more suited to her taste and personality. I had so much fun making it, and I'm thrilled to say she loves it. It's all Simply Soft. Caron has the best colors for spring. How does Simply Soft work on the loom? Have you tried it yet?

I am not sure. I have not tried it yet.
I love ROSEMARY. Everything about it, really. The smell...the blossoms, the green leaves. The taste. It is just all out, an AWESOME herb.
