I'm terrified to give it to the person I intended it for (who also crochets, and MUCH better than me). I guess it's the thought that counts... :)

The lovely thing about knit and crochet gifts is that not only are they useful, they come with so much goodwill and regard woven in. I have no doubt the recipient will be thrilled. If he/she is not then he/she is not a very nice person, and why would you invest your time in making something for someone who isn't very nice? You wouldn't! So, the very fact that you are making something proves that person will love it.
