M,

I have no idea what kind they are, but they are beautiful year round. In winter they're black limbed and bare and whip around in the wind, and drip icicles after a frost. In Spring they are covered in tiny white blossoms that give way to round, waxy green leaves which cast shade over the front of the house until mid Autumn when they turn into this riot of amazing, almost supernatural colors. The whole of the street is like this.

The Magic Kingdom pics are from last week. Perfect afternoon/evening: mild weather and small crowds. We had a great time.

I grew up in the UK...Durham. But, I lived in Rancho Palos Verdes for a looooong time. Now I live on a hilltop looking down at two lakes: Elisnore and Canyon. Big adjustment but I'm learning to like it. Have a wonderful holiday.
