I'm still keeping a record of the books I read within any given year. It caters to the OCD elements of my fractured personality :) Although I would have thought I had much more reading time (what with being unemployed for large chunks of it), I seem to have read fewer books than years past. LOL I know I/we already 'freakishly' read more than the average person (whoever he or she may be) but I also know that I read a lot slower and a lot fewer than most self confessed literature lover. I'm usually on about a 4 book a month average which I'm happy/comfortable with.

Really don't know why I fell short of that this year. Not than I'm overly bothered by it but it'd be nice to read more in the coming year simply because I can then release them from my possession hah hah hah.

I see you've gotten through the first three Twilight books. That's where I stopped. I suppose one day I'll read *Breaking Wind* (ha!) too, just to get to the grand finale!

I've actually started reading the final one but a good friend accidentally gave away the plot of the book and it horified me so very much that I don't have the will to go on. I'll read it and get it out of the way (and out of my life) some time soon but I'm not keen LOL!

I was traumatised by the messages in these books and worry that a generation of young women won't feel thoroughly or properly loved unless they are living under the constant threat of domestic violence.

I know what you mean. I used to think Wuthering Heights was a bad model for romantic love, but at least Heathcliff was HUMAN!!
