I've said it before, but it bears repeating.. I'm really, really loving my life lately. I have amazing friends, a wonderful boyfriend, and everything to look forward to.

NYC on Saturday with Ms. Lucy and the boys for a Goners show at CBGB's, and then again next weekend for a show at Otto's. Psyched.

i've been awake for nearly 48 hours now, minus a two hour (give or take) nap i took at t.'s this afternoon. those 48 hours have included:

- first shift at new job. much better than previous job. fuck you, s&s.

Today in the car I heard the Ataris covering a Skid Row song that I hold near&dear.. and it didn't hurt the way I thought it would. It was more a fond ache in my chest, a reminder that no matter how far I've come&no matter how badly I've fucked up, there's still a part of me that remembers, that will always remember.

Tonight, when we were leaving Barnes & Noble, the sun was setting and we held hands as we walked across the parking lot to the truck, and he refused to let go while I smoked a cigarette, even though I laughed and tried to pull away.
