Eyeball-pokling update

Had an interesting visit to the optometrist this afternoon. Last week I was there for a normal check-up, but was asked to come back so another person could check my eyes. Turns out this woman had just graduated from ... er... optometrist school (?), and needed some experience. It's always fun when doctor-type-persons call their colleagues and say "Oh man, you gotta see this!"...

Inside the eyeball there are bloodvessel that carry oxygen throughout the eye. In the middle of the eye there is an empty path so they won't interfere with the vision. In my eye this path is apparently very narrow and this is what caused all this interest. This is sometimes caused by lack of oxygen in the eye, as an effect of wearing lenses for too long or something. But since the edge of the paths in my eyes were smooth and not jagged, they concluded that it's probably a natural thing, which has always been like that.

So there's most likely nothing wrong, but I'll be seeing an eye-doctor just in case. Better safe than sorry.

Also, they called in a third woman, who was still studying to be an optometrist, to have a gander. This I didn't mind so much, since she was really cute. And cute girls staring deeply into my eyes isn't something I generally object to. Also, being told to look down when sitting closely and facing her wasn't all bad either. ;)
