I came across something last night that made me feel hollow and desperate inside. It tore at my heart in a way that I had never experienced before. I was watching a silly link Liz had posted with an Afghani making armpit noises, when a video on the stoning execution of a Kurdish girl popped up on the sidebar. I should have known not to watch it,

I knew it went on. I know the horrible circumstances. One would have to be even less involved with the media than I to avoid that knowledge. The sight of it, though ...

Yeah...I too knew it went on, but seeing it brought it to such a stinging sense of reality. This is what happens when religious zealots follow the bible too closely.
