Not that your things aren't awesome, because they are, but this is the best kind of awesome, being unexpected awesome, and all the more sweeter for it.

And this is sweet, and dark, and gorgeous- and I don't mean dark in the way of doom and gloom, I mean a softer dark, like hidden things unearthed, and it feels almost comforting. Weightless, perhaps, is a better word; that flippy-falling feeling in your stomach from a sudden drop...

Ah, I had the song stuck in my head the whole time through reading this; it's been on my CLAMP playlist since I first heard it, and now I know why. I mean, I put it on there for a reason, but now I know. I will probably and forever see this fic whenever I hear it from now on.

Gorgeous work, my lovely. I'm off to read it again~ (and again and again...)

aha, I was listening to my F+tm playlist while writing this, and when I was finished I was casting around for titles and this came up. I was like 'damn, that's apt. well, okay then'.

Of course its reasonable to assume Fai has had previous lovers, he's a bajillion years old and he lived in a castle full of people, surely one of them got involved with him at some point. (I do love the little things they taught him though, and the detail you give in so little words. It's wonderful~!)

kurogane doesn't believe in hanging around navelgazing. this is because kurogane is a badass. trufax. *dons sunglasses of truthiness*

also because fai is really hot in a furisode and kurogane just wants to hit that like the fist of an angry god, and really, who can blame him?

This is gorgeous.

Normally I don't read fics where characters are paired with OCs; so I like how Fai's first three love interests (and two lovers) serves as those who each have taught Fai something that we see him as for about...3/4 of the series.

aha i do kind of feel bad, cos all 3 of his oc love interests snuffed it or abandoned him, poor baby. at least kurogane won't!
