Went into northampton with Genna today, she wanted to go to the museum to get some photos for art or something.What can i say about a museum of northampton?? Finished off the flooring today. looks bad-ass needs a finishing strip round the edge, but that can be done anytime. Went to ikea in Milton Keynes today bought all my furniture:- Malm double bed frame, Sultan bed slats and midbeam.

Took out the carpet and started laying the laminate floor this evening. Apart from having to piss about marking out and cutting chunks out so the "planks" would fit around the moulding round the wardrobe and the radiator pipes, it went really well and looks sweet. Painted behind the radiator, touched up the black gloss where it was needed, full second coat wasn't needed. Painted the door. That should be all the painting done now, im not planning to do anymore!!
To-do: Lay laminate floor on wednesday, go to ikea on saturday and start moving in.

importing costs
im looking at buying some Initial D DVD's and small merchandise items from an american website. obviosuly i pay them the delivery costs. but will i have to pay import duties or anything when the package gets to the uk? I've never ordered anything from aboard before so i dont know how it works and the customs and excise website is useless. Anyone ( Read more... )
