A famous guy very busy compiling a famous dictionary (i guess it was McMillan or the like) was really nit-picking about words. One day his wife came home and saw him screwing a maid. She dropped her bags and exclaimed, "Oh darling, I'm surprised!". McMillan stopped for a while and corrected her: "No dear, you're not surprised, you're astonished."
