Derrick,

Moving?

I would not suggest you be the one to warn the man about hypertension - it is likely the quickest (legal) route to being rid of his disapprobation.

Though, I suppose if Miss Parkinson is fond of him, she might find that resolution somewhat less than ideal.

Where will you go? You could always come home here, if Miss Parkinson can survive without silk cushions and caviar.

I would even endeavour to tolerate her livestock, provided that she is conscientious about repairing anything the beast damages. Cats at least have less tendency to odour and squallour than dogs.

You're right. Damn, I missed a golden opportunity yesterday - I should have been less courteous. As for Pansy, I can't say how fond she is of him, anymore.

Hah, haven't really had the time to think about it. You're joking. Are you sure? We couldn't, she's... heh, it's not silk cushions and caviar I'm worried about. Still, I don't know how she'd like it. And anyway... well, I suppose if she's out of the house during the full moon...

...Are you certain?

Mr. Derrick,

When have you ever known me to offer anything I was not willing to provide? Have I a reputation for benevolent philanthropy?? Have I not said, again and again, that you should treat the house at Spinner's End as your home? Such as it is - I realise you are accustomed to something far superiour, and Miss Parkinson even more so.

Nonetheless, while you are welcome to it, the offer stands as-is. I'll not be decorating to her tastes, and if her feline damages my books, she and I will have words.

Knowing Miss Parkinson, I doubt that would alarm her in the least - she's almost as spoilt as Draco Malfoy, and has apparently long-since lost her fear of me, more's the pity.

If she comes to the house, you probably ought to use Theo's old room - it is quite a bit larger than your old one and is a bit isolated from the rest of the house. I have no doubt the rest of your housemates share my wish of not wanting to know ANYTHING occurring behind closed doors.

If you like, let her tell her father where she is living - if dating a ( ... )

Monsieur Perry~

I understand the reasons that you will no longer be able to continue employment with the shop. I would love to have you back if and when your schedule allows for it. Remember not to make yourself a stranger. Good luck with your dueling, perhaps if I have the time, I'll drop into a match one day.

Again, the best of luck, and thank you for staying as long as you did.

You should, though I warn you, duels can be pretty brutal.

We'll see how things go. Do remember to sleep now and then.
