I got the basement cleaned and dusted and Holiday Cheer abounds down there. No tree, yet. I think I might want to look for a potted one that I can bring in and out each year...and when it gets too big to bring indoors, we can plant it in the backyard as part of a privacy fence ( Read more... )

Have you ever heard the Trans Siberian Orchestra? Metal fucking Christmas music, and they have an amazingly epic rendition of Carol of the Bells. Furreals, it is the Christmas music Magellan would make, if he's into that sort of thing. I have the CD, if you ever care to listen.

I have heard of them, and heard their arrangement...and yes, it is fucking metal (Magellan would have, of course, added a keytar as it is the most metal instrument ever).

I told my brother to start composing his own epic rendition for next year...just in case this thing ever takes off. Not only do I know that he can compose some awesome shit, it will cost a lot less than getting the rights to use TSO's.
