You should read the Percy Jackson books, by Rick Riordan. Yes. I have all 5, as well as the 1 currently published in the direct spin-off series (called the Heroes of Olympus series, based on Greek and Roman mythology - the second book is due out in October), and the 2 currently published in the not-so-directly related series (called the Kane Chronicles, based on Egyptian mythology ( ... )

FANTASY IS AWESOME, AND "YOUNG ADULT" BOOKS ARE WAY BETTER THAN MOST GROWNUP BOOKS, THEREFORE YOUTH FANTASY IS AWESOME. TRUFAX.

I seen the Percy Jackson movie, it was okay, I assume the book is better.
Is Wicked like the musical?
I got Life of Pi out the AGGS library but I did not get very far. Also I picked up Howl's Moving Castle but I think I thought the beginning was kinda slow so I skipped ahead a bit and then gave up.
I read the first and second and maybe third Artemis Fowl books, but I not yet read the other Hitchhiker's book.

Yes, the books are far better than that awful movie - MASSIVE PLOT HOLES HAVE BEEN CREATED BY HOLLYWOOD. They actually can't make the sequel (that they're still planning) now, they'd have to introduce too many things in a horribly ambiguous way to be able to account for what was missing in the movie plot. I surmise it will go something like THIS:

OHHAII'MCLARICEANDMYDADISARESANDYOUWERESUPPOSEDTOBEMYBIGGESTENEMYINTHELASTMOVIEBECAUSEYOUPISSEDHIMOFFBUTIDIDN'TEXISTTHENSOHEREIAMNOWANDNOWI'MGOINGTOTAKEYOURQUESTYAAAAAAAAY.

And yes, Wicked is what the musical is based on.
