When Ben Stein talks like this I can't tell if he's just honestly incredibly ignorant about science or if he's the sort of scum that is lying through his teeth about it while trying to sell to the fundy market. Given

Ben Stein has come out with stuff like this before...I remember watching the 2000 elections and him claiming without any apparent irony that he wasn't voting for Al Gore, one key reason being "my dog doesn't like Al Gore." It makes one wonder if he's just channeling some Andy Kauffman-esque character.
