Beautiful and heart-wrenching. I just watched Razor two nights ago and I've been thinking about Lee's decision and the horrible possible outcome. I love that you explored it. I can imagine this more than any other outcome if "she" had died. *heart breaks*

I love Razor. And I would have made the same call in his place - you can't sacrifice the XO and you can't make the enlisted guys do it - she was the only choice and who she is to him is less important then who she is, if that makes sense.

It does make sense. He made the hard call. I wonder if Adama's call was the sentimental one? (Although, I did feel like Lee was being a bit hasty? Maybe? I dunno.)

Adama always makes the sentimental call - it's why he needs Tigh and Lee. It's always personal for him and that's dangerous in a military situation.

The problem is that when you have your shot, like they so clearly did, how long do you hesitate? The game can shift at any second. It's one of those situations that you're doomed to never know if you take your chance in that moment, whether it might have improved or deteriorated.

My heart, it breaks! But wow, that was INTENSE and raw and so very, very good. Could not see Lee handling Kara's death by his own command in any other way. Even thinking about it...gah. The darkness would fully consume him sooner rather than later, methinks.

I love this. Lee/Kendra are my secret other OTP. So similar. So broken. But where Kara and Lee's flaws fit around each other, making more than the sum of their parts, Lee and Kendra match up all too well.

Kendra to me is like Kara's dark doppelganger; a fitting match for Lee, but that their coping mechanisms are far too similar. Which is also why I can see Kendra/Kara, incidentally. :) (or... K/K/L, shhhhh!)
