I haven't been good about promoting/talking about shows I go to that aren't opera.

I love close settings and relatively unknown performers who always stay after to talk to their audience, and acoustic guitar, so last night I ventured out with a friend to see Ernie Halter, Joe Firstman and The Kin.

Yay! I love hearing new music. I don't listen to nearly enough small bands. I do try to buy local music when I have the chance, but... Yeah, not often enough.

I am, however, listening to Ekis right now. He's very eclectic, and I'm not sure I like this latest album as much as his last one, which I can't actually find anywhere right now... But anyways, he's fun.

I do love going to small band stuff, it's often just a matter of luck that separates who makes it big and who doesn't.
