Of Teh Interwebz....

I'm thinking of making up a blogging site specifically dedicated to my adventures in home renovation, craft and cooking.

I guess because I spend significant amounts of my life on these activities generally, and even more so when I'm unemployed when they quite literally become my life.

This would then give me the space to post up perdy pictures of ( Read more... )

Honestly, I won't recommend Etsy any more. If you're selling vintage stuff, have a niche in the market or sell better quality than everyone else, you're fine. But it's hard to break into. Can you tell I'm a bit bitter?

Each product you list costs $0.20 US. The listing stays active for three months (or something) and when it goes inactive you pay the same amount to relist it.

The better the photography, description and price, the better your product looks, so macro lenses, plain and bright backgrounds, and different views are the way to go.

You may go really well. Whatcha thinking of selling, honey?

I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience *huggles*

Hmmm not too keen on getting charged....also from what I've seen it does tend to be a bit of an American website so I may struggle on that front. More thinking is required I thinks.

I make earring/memo boards. They're pretty and useful (I have like 3 in my room) but not all that tricky to make and so I'm worried my potential customers will look at it and DIY instead of buying, lol.
But I do like making them....and it's a good way to use up some of my leftover bits of fabric from dressmaking.

Lol maybe we should team up? Your jewellry-making skills and my displays. :D I'm trying to learn to make earrings, but I tend to lack creativity or else want to keep everything for myself :P

Um, there's a site called madeit.com which is the Aussie version of etsy. a lot of aussie sellers now sell there. maybe have a look?
