Film question

Has anyone seen the film version of the Time Traveller's Wife? Is it as hideously paedophilic (is that a word? You get my point) as the book or is all that stuff removed? And even if it's removed, does just knowing it was all over the book make it just too icky to watch?

I've seen it, and know nothing of what you speak, so I guess it's not in it! Or I'm not very observant!

Is there still the idea that this fully grown man meets a young girl (when he's naked) and goes on to tell her she's going to be his wife?

Not that I remember! I think that would've stuck with me. I simply remember the film as quite touching.

Haven't seen it. I think I remember reading a review of the book? Someone else who found it creepy because the man essentially shaped the girl into the wife he remembered?

Which reminds me of Water Music, a Doctor & River Song fic that did the same sort of playing with time. I lost track of the fic partway through but have now remembered and re-located it. Shall have to see if it ended as well as it began.

I tried reading the book but tossed it under the bed partway through. It was disturbing. And not well written.
