A blip in my reality

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I'd taken some videos at a gig I'd been to, and that I'd since created my own YouTube account at the urging of dear Ankh (who basically bugged me a lot) to post said videos. So far, so simple. So then ( Read more... )

That's the oddest thing. There are various people who've commented on the videos and on twitter, but the vast majority have commented to the singers. It's like the step where I took a video and posted it didn't happen, like the whole thing was magic. I'm not bothered, but it's quite odd. Still, considering I was a bit stunned when it climbed over 100 views, and today it's over 5000 and still climbing, the whole thing is just surreal.

*snerk* yeah. At least, my alter-ego is part of a weird chain of fandom. I'm okay with that - people get to see something they wouldn't have otherwise. I'm not involved in the fandom, though I do like Leverage. Oddly, I liked his music before that started, and his and Steve's Acoustic live in London CD has been one of my favourites for ages. The two songs that've had the most hits, which are Hemorrhage and Different Kind of Knight, were ones I'd never actually heard. The first one is by Fuel who I'd never heard of at all, and I've now got their best hits CD. The second was apparently on the latest CD but only on a special version I didn't know existed. And at the gig I got to know more music from other people who were playing, so for twenty quid for the evening it was fabulous for me in discovering music I like.
