I don't like being pessimistic, but sometimes, I think times call for it. I received my half-yearly report a few weeks ago, and I was below-average for every subject except for two-- English and History, and I only got on-average for English, and one mark above average for History

That's pretty much how I feel in my school. If you get a C on your report card and look around you, you're pretty much the only one. Although I have to admit, that's usually only if you're in the IB program, which is what the school I go to specializes in. But still, if your in a specialty program and you're one of the few among your friends who gets a C you feel really crappy about yourself. *grumbles something about math* So yea, I know where you're coming from.

My school is supposedly the second-best high school in the state, and the teachers tell us 'Oh! If you're average here, you're still one of the top 10% in the state!'
Somehow, though... I don't think it works that way...

I know how you feel. My half-yearly report this year was the worst report I've ever gotten. The only one of my teachers who wasn't disappointed in me was my art teacher.

Right now, I wish I could go back to year 10. It was the best year. *sigh* I really hate school.

By the by, on a completely unrelated topic I read the new chapter of EE. Loved it. Would write more but I really have to go work on an assignment.

Yeah trials are week 4 & 5. But I haven't even begun studying yet because I have so many damn assignments to complete that are due first day back. ARGH!
