Hard Work
Animation is hard work and a lot of people don't seem to realize it. Maybe it's because they think drawing is easy for people who are 'good at drawing'. A lot of it has more to do with effort than some kind of out of nowhere talent

People don't seem to realize these things about art too:
- It's fucking expensive.
- Looking all over town for supplies that can't be bought at a campus bookstore (I'm so glad I still live in town for my college; being an art major and finding tiny art stores in another city would be so intimidating, especially with my lack of car...)
- All decent artists have bullshit detectors; the difference is that college professors aren't afraid to say exactly what's on their mind.
- On a similar note, subjectivity is a double-edged sword.
But yeah... Having something nice.. And having a mind that looks for balance and beauty in the smallest things... I think that's a great part of being an artist. =)
