I'm very sorry to hear about your kitty! Hopefully he'll settle down and eat when he gets really hungry. I know people who've had diabetic cats before, and they tend to be pretty healthy once all the food issues get regulated. Mike and I will be thinking about you and poor Drizzt. Good luck!
It'll be okay Lisa, Drizzt is just really stubborn, I am sure that he will do fine. Even if he doesn't eat for a few days, once he gets home he will eat a whole bunch and be the same old cute and cuddly Drizzter!

I think once he gets home he'll eat just fine. Then your big concern will be keeping the other two from eating his special food. Has the vet tried mixing the moist and dry together, like you guys do at home? Just keep thinking that in 2-5 days you'll have him home.

After I posted Clint said the vet ended up giving him some Friskies and he ate that right up. Today the vet was supposed to try mixing Drizzt's regular food with the special food and then we'll gradually not mix in the regular food. Hopefully that will work.
