For any of you who think euthanasia is only about "dying with dignity" and could never be an excuse for harvesting the organs of people who are vulnerable, think again.

Especially scary: in this blog entry about the story, someone has anonymously posted that they were one of Rueben's caretakers, and conceded he should not have died this way.

DING DING DING. Disability, class, racism -- a trifecta of powerlessness. His mother couldn't advocate for herself or him because she trusted the "professionals" would do the right thing and so she went along with it. She also didn't know a lot about the system which made it easier for them to bowl her over. Frankly, I doubt that this would happen to some rich white person with great benefits and knowledge of patient rights.

That fucker should have tube full of iodine stuffed down his throat.
