I can't believe that this is acceptable research let alone that anyone would want to take a class from this guy. Do people just get blinded by his fame or is it that people are attracted by controversy?
Thanks for posting this article, it was amazing! I actually learned a lot. It's strange, I know of Peter Singer for his animal rights arguments and didn't realize that he made the argument described here. I agree with Harriet McBryde Johnson that Singer isn't so much a monster as he is misinformed and in great need of dismantling his prejudices. Even so, I find it hard to believe anyone could feel anything other than shame for thinking let alone publicly advocating views such as Singer's. Anyhow, one last point... I feel as if I should protest your comment: "this is why i don't endorse university-level education. too many idiots with PhDs..." As a student in university, studying human rights and philosophy, I don't take Singer's ineptitude as a viable reason for opposing university-level education. After all, it's not always what you do, but what you do with it that makes the difference. I've met a lot of amazing people and learned about many things I may not have encountered otherwise. Ok, I'm done. Thanks again for posting this.

I can't believe that people have those thoughts - and feel it acceptable to voice them.
