The storm that blew through on Saturday knocked over trees and knocked out power lines in the outer regions. At least one car was squashed by a gigantic tree.

I have known people who are charming, gregarious and great to be friends with . . . initially. Then s/he screws up and loses the current pool of friends. No matter; the charming, gregarious personality will replenish the supply.
Too bad the internet is like Inspector Javert to Jean Valjean. The past is not so easy to erase.
My Viore 7-inch portable TV which I purchased for $99 has a large enough screen for me to read the subtitles on my anime. I'm watching English language programs as well, but because of my poor hearing, I sometimes mishear the audio.
Meh, sacrifices. But the gain is 90 minutes of A/V bliss on the subway. I don't HAVE to buy a netbook.

There is so much construction dust from tearing things out of the walls. I hope the landlord found someone reputable to finish things up. I really miss my stove. And the fridge keeps getting unplugged!
