Much confusion ...

Today was an exciting day. I finally opened a bank account to put all my science fair/SCJAS/other-research-shit awards. Total cash: $845. Scholarship money: $1000. Savings bonds: $175. The last two really don't matter, cuz I'm never gonna be able to use them. But whatever, the rest is good. Plus my salary up to date, I'm at about $1200.

If you have dance, doesn't that count as a PE credit?

Not at our marvelous alma mater. But I don't mind advanced PE ... cuz we're gonna do weightlifting and stuff. Regular PE would suck, but this is cool. Only downside ... going to Whittle right after it. Yuck. :)

Drop your last three classes and take it easy this year. You know how much it stinks to have too many classes, especially academic ones (talking about your freakish amount of APs this past year).

Or if you want to look like you're still trying for college, just drop German and Dance. German 1 won't mean much at college, most likely.

you seriously need to consider dropping the last 3 classes. i got out after 5th everyday this past year, and it was still a struggle. granted, i had an independent study french class and the whole yearbook to design in my "free time" but still, try to relax a little. if you want the ap latin credit, i would suggest dropping both dance and german to have a nice LONG break in the middle of the day. obviously they'd assign you to study hall, but all you have to do is go the first couple weeks and ask every day if you can go to the library or a teacher's class who you know won't care if you leave. I had friends tell Ms. Evans that I was working on the yearbook every day during 4th period when really i was taking a nice 97 minute lunch break. go for it. and latin won't be that bad at the end of the day, since you have to come back for cross country anyways.

Hey Chris!!

I haven't talked to you in a month .. so thanks for the advice! Seniors know best :) I think I'm gonna drop german .. cuz it's a CP class, so it will bring down my GPA and probably not prepare me much for college. (Although ... they listen to techno in there ... and techno kicks butt ... hmmmm). But I figure I will get my techno/other music fix if I take dance. And it's the one class of my whole high school career that I've looked forward too, so I don't think I'll drop it. But yea, I do need a break senior year. :)

... hope you're having a super-nice summer!

hope you're having a "super-nice summer" too! Dance will be good for you to take since you seem to enjoy it so much...it will probably seem like a nice break during your day.

about the german class techno: we heard it about every other day in mr. whittle's class, since the distance learning lab is right next door to where we had class 2nd period...it made for interesting poetry readings, hah!

take it easy!

You're gonna be in our Latin class, right? Yay for distance learning! Wait, did you take Latin last year? We did AP Vergil last year, and I think this year it's Cicero and Catullus. Or maybe Catullus and Ovid. Or something... I don't remember. But I think it's Cicero and Catullus. I guess we'll find out in August haha. Oops, I never turned in my Books 10-12 of the Aeneid last year. Oh well..

Actually, I skipped Latin last year. So I don't know what I should do this year. Should I just hop into Cicero/Catullus, or would I crash and burn cuz it's too difficult? Oi ... what to do, what to do?

And what do you think ... german, dance, both, or neither?

Hmm, if you feel comfortable with your Latin skills, I think you should take it. The only thing is that there really won't be a whole lot of reviewing next year since everyone in the class already took AP Vergil. If you take the class, I'd suggest you do some reviewing online with your declensions, conjugations, constructions, and vocab ( ... )

Hey!!!

I always wondered who this was! Cuz I kept seeing the colored-teary-eyed face everywhere, but I always thought it was one of Mike's Govie friends. O well ... you've been added ... add me too :)

.. And what stuff are you taking next year? Are we gonna have any classes together?
