all I can tell you is that Pembroke was nowhere near that bad. Maybe UNCC is filled with more cuntery than Chapel Hill is... You can tell me when you get there.

I had no idea about all the different applications I needed for housing, so by the time I got everything done, I was waitlisted and sweating it since I live like 9 hours from here. My financial aide package wouldn't support off campus housing, so if I had to get an apartment, I would have been screwed. But I called and turned on the charm (read: fake tears) and I got bumped to the top of the list :) .
Health insurance is a funny thing. I was canceled from my parent's insurance a year ago....but I still photocopied the card and sent it in. Eh hehehehe. Since I haven't had to go to the nurse for any reason here, they haven't caught on.
Yeah. Pretty much everything you're talking about, I've been through this past summer. I had to teach myself everything....including the shady things. Mostly it's been smarts and luck that's gotten me thus far. Watch, I'll break my leg tomorrow, have to go to the doctor, and get busted.

It's a whole hella lot harder when you can't just visit the campus anytime you have a question. I bother the mess out of FTCC's people, but with this, I have to do it all via the internet- and people can ignore emails.
