Big news all around

The not so big news, but the most exciting thing in my world today is the fact that I am flying home today for my New Years vacation. I think we are also going to do a few hours worth of tourist stuff in Philadelphia today too.

Hee. Sid Hartman is my cousin Ted's wife's uncle and I remember at the wedding he just sat in the corner and glared at everyone. And I see him when I work Vikings games and he just looks so miserable to be out and about without his Ovaltine.

And: quelle surprise at Strib sale. I know part of why my brother left the paper was he didn't like the direction it took after McClatchy bought it...from his complaints about the company from his executive point of view, it doesn't seem out of character for them to say the paper was safe and then sell it without warning.

Money > keeping promises. The corporate world sucks.
