... Peony's kind of sure something's up. I can't put my finger on why, exactly, and am trying to allow for OOC knowledge in there and just trim it down to Peony's own feelings, but somehow Chizu-nee even mentioning trouble somehow sets off alarm bells. Hmm. Only faint ones - he trusts her when she says she can handle it - but saying she can handle it is a sort of tacit confirmation of the fact there's something to handle, and it's cropped up whenever they've talked recently. ... so he thinks something is up. Of course, though, he'll just keep an eye open and otherwise let her handle her business, as she's basically the most level person he knows. She is of course a loyal confidante and all-around awesome and she can come run bits of the administrative wing of Malkuth forever because that would be hilarious. Negi, first impressions-wise. They've only threaded a couple times and Marisa's pretty useless for relationship memes herself, but it's always so adorable and I'm curious, if ya don't mind.
YOU GUYS ARE WEIRD ... I say that because he does for whatever reason class the both of you as being from the same sort of place. I think it's the talk about magic, which is weird and kind of wonderful - Negi loves and breathes magic but he so rarely gets a chance to actively geek over it in front of someone even in camp that it was seriously refreshing just to, well... talk shop. It's strange, but nice.
... pretty much to a tee, really. Peony is instinctively sure that if he needs to really shake people up, scare them, kick them into movement or otherwise generally screw around with their heads, Maora is his girl-guy-thing, especially as far as That Damn Trio go which is kind of a current concern what with Takanari being stupid. (See above at his answer.) He doesn't mind the whole cross-dressing thing: he's seen a lot weirder at home and at camp that it doesn't faze him, and if Maora wants to go for that, it's not like Peony can judge it when he doesn't even know why. More power to 'em. He is kind of curious, but in his experience and opinion something like that is a tricky topic to ask about whichever way you encounter it. LET'S GO UN-STUPID EVERYONE
KAMINA THINKS KITTAN IS: - A MORON - A STUPID MORON - A LAZY STUPID MORON - AN ASS - A COWARD, ON GENERAL 'IS NOT KAMINA' PRINCIPLES - KIND OF SHAPED LIKE A BANANA, FOR SOME REASON, THE HELL KITTAN - A fully paid up and trustable member of the Gurren Lagann and one of the few people in camp who could actually keep an eye and a look out for Nia worth a fucking damn. The insults and the beating the shit out of each other is just how the brigade works and it always has; when push comes to shove they'll surely all click together and slaughter the shit out of everything in their path. Because that's how we roll, even when shaped like a giant fucking banana.
I play Minato and Reimu and stuff and I think Negi and Peony's met them and possibly Pink Supervisor but I don't expect him to remember them anyway and Marisa's a jerk.
The primary ones I can think of are Negi-Reimu and Peony-Minato. Pink Supervisor has a hard time with relationship memes - it's that whole episodic post thing.
Peony would suggesssstttt that Minato's lightening up a bit. He's been a bit freer in interaction and a bit more animated and Peony thinks that's nice to see - he's showing some wit and Peony likes it when the more silent or quiet kids start to relax a little because he's pretty tuned to receptive conversations - they're what he thrives off, and as people start to tune into that wavelength he starts to like them more. He does intend to keep an eye on the various personakids that he's met - in Minato's case he mostly assumes it just took a while to warm to camp.
Negi's response is much the same as to Marisa - it's kind of bizarre and nice to just sit back and talk about shop for a while. Reimu's definitely, er, more dry than Marisa (not that he means that in a bad way because he's Negi) but they're both perfectly talkative and it's just kind of... without any of the pretenses
