sigh!!!
ernie passed away on 24/04/06..
erwin oassed away today 02/05/06..
now i have two empty tanks with water snails..
maybe i will hunt for another pet fish.. goldfishes instead.. for better luck and peace at home..

were they your fighting fish? how long did they last? what was your care regimen like?

goldfish are harder to maintain than fighting fish. guppies are a good and easy start. try to put some (low light tolerant) water plants into the tanks.

ya.. fighting fish.. dunno wats wrong leh.. i am using some bacteria thingy so they would feed on the shit and all.. the snails for algae.. but no plants lah.. got time some time back liao.. not at good condition also.. anyway it could be the negative energy in the house la.. hehehe i want something to bring peace and luck. hehhehe

even with bacteria you need to change the water at least some of the time. only with plants can you go for long periods without changing the water. over time the water becomes more and more toxic to the fish so they eventually die. this will happen much quicker with goldfish. if you do not have plants you need to change water regulalry. some people changed almost all the water every day. it depends on the size of the tanks etc. ...

i used to keep fish many years ago and was not very successful so i stopped. when internet came to singapore i found a lot of information about keeping fish and that got me started again and i have been a keen fish keeper since 1999. my secret for success is plants in the tank.
