I think this is one of the most hilarious abuses of technology ever - taking an image and converting it to HTML. And it actually works pretty well. So I took an image in my web gallery and converted it. Why - because I could!

Think you've got a fast computer and web browser - think again!

So this creates a large HTML table, with each column being 1x1 and the appropriate color?

The HTML version's aspect ratio was different than the JPEG version on mine (Safari 3.1.1, Mac OS X 10.5.2)

I suppose that is true! ;-D Although there IS some point to making XML for many datatypes. For images, its pretty hard to argue for any benefit at the pixel level! ;-D
