Just had to buy a copy of the Tribune on this rather historic day - and thought this cover was appropriate for archiving into LJ. Sometimes its so easy to get wrapped up in who-said-what-about-who that the overarching accomplishment of the primary is lost. Oh it most certainly was the actual headline. I'm not sure where the confusion comes in - unless its the last line. I'm hoping to get to scan in another historical headline in a number of months...

And legal same-sex marriage in CA too! It really seems that the arc of history, having taken the scenic route for so many years, is finally bending towards justice and equality.

I love how they emphasised the achievements of both candidates. Now that's respect-worthy journalism. :)

I really do like the blurb, though. It definitely sends my opinion of the Chicago Tribune up.
