It's all good. :) In fact, you're actually underlining the point that I usually try to make every time I hear talk of Twitter being useless and people who use it being useless by proxy.

I love Twitter. I actually signed up for it a REALLY long time ago (before anyone I actually KNEW was on it...or at least if they were on it, I wasn't aware of them, which is the same thing) and didn't really enjoy it at first. But once some local folks started getting into it, it got a lot more interesting. And it's kind of a fun way to maintain a little bit of a business presence in a fairly visible forum. I wish I had a Blackberry to use it when I'm not at a computer. The text messaging is cool to post with but I usually have updates turned off because I don't know what my work phone's text messaging costs are, and I don't want to get yelled at. Plus if I don't check my phone every 30 seconds I have a million texts backed up, which is annoying.
