dongwoo likes puppies, so he (sort of) becomes one, and wins eunji's heart || g
Dongwoo likes dancing. He also likes puppies.
So when Infinite are scheduled to film for a variety show, raising puppies no less, he’s over the moon. The members aren’t so overjoyed -- Sunggyu all but runs out the door, and Sungyeol worries about how they’ll start smelling like dog, but their wet-blanket tendencies don’t faze Dongwoo one bit.
It’s not the first time they’ll meet A-Pink, but it feels like the first all the same. The meeting on the roof was hardly lengthy enough for them to converse, and half the girls were hiding their makeup-less faces under caps and hoodies and glasses anyway.
They have to get up at six to get to the salon so they can be ready by nine to start filming for the show, but Dongwoo’s still in high spirits. he likes being outdoors, and what’s even better is that he’ll be spending the day playing with dogs.
Out of the A-Pink members, Dongwoo first notices Eunji. Eunji has a broad, easy-going smile, a cute Busan accent, and her charm is almost magnetic. It seems that both the dogs favour her, and that’s a big tick in Dongwoo’s books -- he trusts dogs to be better judges of character than humans.
“I’m Dongwoo,” he introduces himself when the cameras are off and they have a ten minute water and make-up break. Eunji smiles back and extends a hand.
“Jung Eunji, lead vocal of A-Pink,” she says. Her grip is firm and strong, and her hands are warm. Dongwoo likes warm hands.
He always ends up embarrassing himself in front of girls though.
He has no idea why he agreed, but they’re filming a dog-training section, and they need a volunteer. Dongwoo feels like an idiot, jumping over the red yoga contraption, pretending to be Sungjong’s dog of all things, but the members are laughing, and most of all, Eunji is laughing. Their eyes meet, and Dongwoo smiles a big goofy smile. Eunji gives him a discreet thumbs up, and Dongwoo’s confidence is suddenly boosted.
“Hand!” Sungjong demands. Dongwoo can hear the members laughing behind him. He slaps his hand down on Sungjong’s obediently, and by now even the cameramen are trying to control their laughter.
“Good boy,” Sungjong says, and Dongwoo loses his balance and falls back on his butt as a handful of dog food is shoved in front of his mouth.
The filming finishes on time, amazingly. The other members are heading towards the van, but Dongwoo stays behind to help clean up and pick up the dog training equipment. There’s a shadow in front of him, and he looks up to see Eunji, with Quick fast asleep in her arms.
“You were very fun today,” Eunji says, smiling widely, stroking Quick’s head. “We should take the dogs out together sometime.”
“Yeah, yeah, let’s,” Dongwoo replies. Eunji beams back, and he feels his heart skip a beat.
