Hi, I'm guessing that for the most part, those of you reading this area already at least somewhat familiar with me. So this entry may not be required reading, or anything like that. But at the moment it's the only one of these up anyway.

According to Core DnD 4th ed rules, going straight one square and going diagonally one square is the same distance.

Yeah, I know that that part doesn't quite make physical sense for longer moves. I don't understand how you get "ALL TRIANGLES ARE EQUILATERAL AND HAVE 3 RIGHT ANGLES WHY??!?!?!?!?" from that though.

It's hard to explain in words.

Actually I think I worded it wrong. But whatever. Point being that a triangle going three spaces forward, three spaces to the side, and the diagonal connecting it would in this world somehow be an equilateral triangle, because all the lengths are supposedly the same. But it's also a right triangle. So we now have an equilateral right triangle, meaning it should have three right angles. It circular and the logic doesn't work because the rule so violently knocks the laws of physics out the way, but it's fun to think about. Or it hurts to think about? Probably both.

Anyway...
