The weekend was a nice respite. I drove home Friday after finally being paid. Its scary how fast the money is going already, I'm going to re-evaluate my priotitiesa bit. I would recommend going to a shooting range some time. It may seem kind of stupid, but it will win you a shit-ton of points from people that are iffy about media ( ... )

Secondly, I would doubt your Americorps self would call you a weirdo. I, met your Americorps self and you were pretty accepting. At worst, you could be moody, particularly when sick, however, you could put up with my cheap ass, which is probably not all that different from who you are now.

You are now probably similar to who I was when I joined the Americorps. The only difference is you are where you want to be and I wasn't, so I joined the damned organization so I could get the fuck out of Indiana. In some ways, you've managed to become probably, in some ways, more mature than me. Or perhaps you've been given a situation where you've been able to be "stable" or happy where you are, which wasn't ever quite the case with me.

I see what you mean. I'm just lucky I stumbled into this internship really. Its great, and honestly I almost didn't do it. I'm really glad I have. As for the gun thing, I really don't like loud startling noises, like gun shots.

That's what hearing protection is for! ;) The hearing protection they offer drops the sound from about 130-150dB to about 80, which is still loud, but way more tolerable.
