Do you mean in the 2nd step? Is it still completely blue after you've set it to soft light?

Okay, I figured out you have to change it to RBG right away i got it to work.

how do you know what colors to use for steps 2,3&4?

do you mean for pictures that don't look good with #69daff and #ffbdd6?
I usually just mess around with different colors until I find one that looks good..

I think that would be hard to find, it looks like it uses selective coloring, the one thing GIMP is missing.

#ffbdd6 is just the color that I used for that step. So you just have to put in that number as the foreground color.
Does that help at all?
