Hi there! It's been awhile, I've missed you too. How've you been?
The rest of my life seems to be going quite well. :) I have some great possible paid internship opportunities for this summer and I have intense courses for next semester. I have made a lot of new friends and I'm getting more involved in political activism for GLBTQ rights. Yay!
I think I'll give the relationship (which, except for a little bit of this semester, has been fun and interesting) until after this two-week period and the rest of the semester. If it's not going well, and especially if we don't have a good connection after winter break, I'll be okay moving on. :) Thanks for the advice!
If you hope this relationship will eventually end in friendship, I think the friendship is what you should be working on now. That may mean stopping the more romantic/sexual stuff, or just opening it up so that you can both re-conceive it as a friends-with-benefits thing, IDK. But if a romantic/sexual relationship you don't anticipate lasting you through college (so, what, another couple of years?) takes this much work, and causes this much pain, is it really worth it? Seems a bit like scrimping and saving to do up a house in luxurious fashion so it's just the sort of place you want to live in... when you know you're only going to be living in this town another year and then the house'll be sold or rented out
