The sun's on my neck and the aroma of tea warms the rest of me. I woke up at first light to the sound of giggles. A pair of homeless people had snuck into our back yard and rearranged and watered the pot plants. She wore a fuzzy pink novelty halo on her head and couldn't stop shrieking with excitement. I really like that you call it "rubbish". We only ever use "trash" or "garbage". Here, the word "rubbish" is almost exclusively reserved for communicated false information or nonsense.

Either way, scholars agree that Paul was partial to "shit".

we have a boy staying with our youth minister for a year from germany, and he called it rubbish the other day. we set him straight though :-P

I always laugh when someone translates it "dung" or something else tame like that. it would be so awesome if they put a "shit" (or at least a "crap" or "turd") in the Bible!

I like how the brits use the word, as in "I made out with your sister last night.. she was rubbish".
