Frightful and I went to the meadow when the meal was done, and I flopped in the grass. The stars came up, the ground smelled sweet, and I closed my eyes. I heard, "Pip, pop, pop, pop."

"Who's making that noise?" I said sleepily to Frightful. She ruffled her feathers.

I always wanted to try grinding my own acorn flour and making it into pancakes. Catching a baby falcon would've been cool, too.

We haven't caught up in awhile, how's life back in Baltimore?

Life is awesome! My job is crazy but it pays for the off-hours things, which are mostly swing dancing these days. I'm looking into volunteering at women's shelters, doing a tiny bit of dating and trying to catch up with friends, so it's busy but fabulous!

How about you?

I have decided I need to read more by Jean Craighead George. I read her Julie books when I was little but not too much else.
