Why did the sheep cross the road

Most of you on my flist don't really know my characters personally. Small wonder, I don't really write much for them beyond RPing, though I really should. To remedy this to some small degree and give you a small introduction to the madness, I propose this ( Read more... )

Well, it was almost ten o'clock. It was almost time for her to go sleep, but there was something that she had to do first. Maleficent grabbed a towel from the bathroom and walked to the front door, making sure to walk over her father's near comatose body along the way.

Three seconds, two seconds, one... Right on cue, the front door slammed open, waking nearly every single creature in the house (except for dad, of course). In walked in a horribly drenched woman, who now resembled a drowned rat than an actual human being. She stumbled around the house, taking the towel from Maleficent's hands as she made her way to the bathroom.

"Geez, why can't you use a razor instead?"

So, this was how his life was going to end. Fading away into obscurity, into the emptiness where his family once resided. In a short while, he too would disappear. The family line, and the curse that resided with it, would finally come to an end.

And so, he looked back. To preserve those lost memories, just for one more second. His parents, and the happiness that he experienced in his childhood, ignorant and unaware. The pride that he felt when he first became a Keyblade wielder. The determination that he had in his quest to free the family from the curse. The sorrow that came over him when he had lost everything that he held dear. The strength that he found when he at last found his purpose.

He looked back at that one second, to record the history that was doomed to forever be lost. He would keep it forever. But that was only for that one second.

And so, everything had disappeared.

That was the true meaning of the word, "Oblivion."

He learned how to play poker at the age of thirteen. It was after a rather boring acting lesson, when one of his classmates invited him over for a birthday party. He usually didn't go to such "distractions," but his parents thought he needed to have fun every so often. All work and no play makes one a dull boy, or so they say. He eventually relented, though he brought some of his acting materials along ( ... )

That was the last of it, he thought to himself as he set the coal at his feet. He was out in the middle of nowhere, and that was a good thing, considering just what he was going to do next. If anybody found out what he was here for, he would've been arrested on the spot. Or something. Who knew with Jo'burg's law officers?

He took out a lighter from his pocket and doused the coal with lighter fluid, just in case. The coal was a huge waste of time and money, and he was glad to be rid of it. He originally planned to obtain tar from this mess, but apparently the encyclopedia lied to him. Coal, in fact, did not create tar without a furnace. Furthermore, he had wasted so much time trying to make the damn thing that he had no use for the tar either.

Oh well. At least this little ordeal was over with. He put the flame over the coal, but the buggers just refused to burn. What he needed was a starter, something that was already on fire.

Well, that was one thing encyclopedias were good for...

Word of mouth travels faster than wildfire.

In a span of a single day, the entire school was filled with such words. A quick investigation traces this outbreak to 'that class'. Further investigation of 'that class' would point to 'those people', and 'those people' would then direct your attention to 'that table over there in the dining hall'.

'That table over there' would then panic for a few minutes, before telling you all sorts of stories of 'this girl' that they heard it from. 'This girl' will then deny everything with tears, until she reluctantly sells out her 'best friend', who will easily give away the identity of 'that boy in class'.

Unfortunately for 'that boy in class', he would then be taken away for disciplinary action while his mother would be told that her adopted son was calling the teacher 'my bitch'. 'That boy' would immediately be grounded for several days for being such a pottymouth.

And all 'that boy' wanted to do was use what he had learned, like the proper student he was.
